Matthew D. Tully has nearly a decade of experience in property tax law representing owners of commercial, industrial, multi-family, hospitality, and residential real estate. His clients include REITs, developers, sports franchises, small business owners, family offices, property management companies, affordable housing developments, and everyday homeowners.
Matt graduated from Georgetown University in 2010 and received his law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2015. During his final year of law school, Matt assisted his classmates in a student-formulated capstone course that authored and lobbied for legislation that was ultimately enacted by the Illinois General Assembly benefiting Special Olympics Chicago and Special Children’s Charities.
Prior to joining Tully & Associates in 2012, Matt worked at the White House for the Council of Economic Advisers, Office of Management & Budget, and as a White House Intern.
Professionally, Matt is a member of the Chicago Inn of Court, Chicago Bar Association’s Real Estate & Taxation Committee, the Illinois Bar Association, American Bar Association, Better Government Association, Urban Land Institute.
Matt is an active volunteer in several civic and community groups. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees at St. Ignatius College Prep (where he was awarded an Alumni Medal in 2015), the Economic Club of Chicago, Big Shoulders Fund’s Chairmen’s Advisory Council, a Director of the Western Golf Association, the Celtic Legal Society, and the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago.
